‘Binge-worthy, vibrant and bursting with life’ COURTNEY KAE
‘Full of all the charm in the world’ CHARLOTTE STEIN
Harmony Hale has been putting the art in con-artist for years. Now, she’s finally ready to take down the town mayor who ruined her father’s life. But Harmony’s tried-and-tested con – selling a non-existent music festival – requires her to win over the insufferably stubborn librarian who could lease her the land for the festival site.
Autistic librarian Preston Jones spends his days fighting conservative book challengers and looking after his younger sister Lacey. He has no time for a romance like the ones in his books – and certainly none for the brash festival promoter knocking down his door.
Preston sees things in black and white, and Harmony is nothing but trouble. But when Harmony promises to help save Preston’s library programs, he begins to wonder if this hustler with a heart of gold might be the one he’s been waiting for.
With Harmony’s con coming to a crescendo, she must choose between revenge and running again, or the happily ever after she never saw coming…

A breath of fresh air...Schwartz proves herself a worthy successor to Merideth Wilson
Binge-worthy, vibrant and bursting with life
A steamy, gender-swapped contemporary retelling of The Music Man, with excellent dialogue and lots of humor.
A librarian with a heart of gold and a socially conscious conwoman with a killer wardrobe falling in love-YES, PLEASE! Harmony Hale is the plus-size heroine I want to see in romance books-confident, smart, and capable, she will sweep readers off their feet right along with Preston Jones. Full of fun antics and great banter, with a soft, sweet love story at its center, I didn't want to put this book down. L. A. Schwartz's My Kind of Trouble is definitely my kind of romance!
Fabulously well crafted and full of all the charm in the world. These characters grabbed my heart and didn't let go. Schwartz is one to watch.
Prepare to be charmed by this opposites-attract story that will have you swooning for Preston, the adorable librarian who gets his tidy world turned upside down, and Harmony, the quick-witted con artist who has a hidden soft spot. Witty banter and a sizzling chemistry that leaps off the page will reel you in from the get-go, leaving you eager to see if the pair can solve the conundrum of love before their differences push them apart. Warning: This book is a serious page-turner. Carve out an afternoon to read it because you'd want to devour the whole story in one go like I did.
