Sue Hincenbergs began writing as she headed into her sixties. Her debut novel The Retirement Plan was an instant Canadian #1 bestseller, staying on the charts for several months, and has been nominated for multiple crime and humour writing awards. It has been translated into more than twenty languages and optioned for a feature film. Her second novel Very Bad Neighbours will be released in March 2027. She is a former television producer and lives in Toronto with her husband, her middle-aged rescue dog, Kramer, and the bedrooms full of stuff her three sons left behind when they moved out.
